Chemical or Micro Peels

Chemical or Micro Peels Overview

For those individuals who experience facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation as a result of aging, chemical or micro peels have become an alternative to help fight these signs of aging. Chemical peels use a chemical solution to help improve and smooth the texture of the skin by removing damaged outer layers.

Various types of chemical or micro peels include/but are not limited to:

  • Alphahydroxy acids (AHAs)
  • Trichloroacetic acid (TCA)
  • Phenol

Chemical peels can be done in conjunction with surgical procedures such as a facelift, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), or facial fat grafting. Dr. Chahin will discuss with you these procedures, and what is mutually felt to be the best method of treatment to aid in achieving optimal results for you.
